My first stop of the day was the Canadian Consulate-General in downtown Sydney. This is the view out of the window from the 5th Floor, I think. Posted by Hello

These are some of the typical skyscrapers in Sydney's Central Business District (downtown). Posted by Hello

This is the view down Geroge St. looking into the old neighbourhood known as The Rocks. Posted by Hello

This is a local ibis. Posted by Hello

These are the native seagulls of the Sydney area. Interestingly, their call does not sound like the now famous "Mine!" call form "Finding Nemo", but is actually quite raspy. I suppose with some stretch of the imagination, it can sound something like the word "mine". Posted by Hello

These are modern skyscrapers located in downtown Sydney next to Circular Quay, the main marine hub of the city. Posted by Hello

This is the famous Sydney Opera House as seen from across the harbour. From what I am told, the roof is supposed to represent sails. Posted by Hello

This is the Museum of Contemporary Art, built in Art Deco fashion, located on the harbour. Posted by Hello

This is the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, known as the Coathanger. Posted by Hello

This is the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The 2 flags are, from nearest to farthest, that of Australia and New South Wales. Posted by Hello

These are the 3 buildings which make up the Sydney Opera House, really a complex. From most photos, the Opera House looks like a single edifice, but it is actually composed of these 3 separate buildings. Posted by Hello

This is a staicase close to Circular Quay and interestingly, it has a lamppost right in the middle of it. Posted by Hello

This is the entrance of the Sydney Opera House. Posted by Hello

This is a small fountain located nearby the Opera House. Posted by Hello

The roof of the Sydney Opera House is composed of a myriad of ceramic tiles, of which this photo is a close-up. When looking at photos of the Opera House, the roof appears as a single uniform structure but that is not the case. Posted by Hello

This is the first of 4 photos which offers a small panorama of Sydney Harbour. Posted by Hello

This statue of the Greek God Pan, is located in the Royal Botanical Gardens which, in addition to plant life, has an exstensive sculpture collection. Posted by Hello

This structure on an island in the middle of Sydney Harbour is an old fortification called Fort Denison. Posted by Hello

These are native birds which roost in the Royal Botanical Gardens. Posted by Hello

This is Government House, which if I'm not mistaken, is one of the residences of Australia's Governor-General. Posted by Hello
